This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

First of all, unless you can tell you're ovulating, some women can, I can. There is no real way to tell. It is supposed to be 14 days from the day you started your last period and last for 3 days. But your body might be different. And keep in mind, some women do not ovulate every month. Did you know that? I just found that out this last time when I was trying to get pregnant, and now I'm due on Valentine's Day. If you are seriouse, go out and buy an ovulation test, they are about $20 not too bad, they really do help. Make sure you and your sig other don' t have sex a few days prior to your ovulation time. I know it may be hard for him or you or both. But if you really want a baby wait. The more times he gets off the lower his sperm count will be. 3 months really isn't a long time, be patient, stress can mess with your cycle as well. It will happen when it is meant to. I've got 2 kids and one on the way now. It will happen for you. Other things can lower his sperm count, tight clothes, if he doesn't wear boxers both of those cut off blood flow which messes with a sperm count. Also, if he spends a lot of time in a spa that can cause problems. These are all things to keep in mind. My neighbor was trying to get pregant, we talked on the 4th of July, I gave her this advice and she got pregnant last month in Aug. It's not a promise but it should help. Good luck!

You need to chart your cycles to find out the length. Ovulation kits to help, but it is advised that once you can pin point ovulation by charting your cycles then you need to have intercourse the 5 days every other day or everyday leading up to ovulation, the day of, and the day after. Your best bet is to have the sperm waiting when the egg drops. Sometimes waiting on an ovulation surge on an ovulation test can even be too late.
