If you're not gonna comment on the issue presented here, you'd do best not commenting at all. Nowhere in my question did I mention PETA, so I don't see where answers regarding PETA are coming from, other than from personal prejudice that is irrelevant here. Stick to the topic at hand.

dlil, I hope you know that your display of ignorance doesn't really achieve anything other than letting other people know you're ignorant.

If all of you'd watch those videos, you'd see that HLS does not conduct medical research, it conducts torture and abuse and all kinds of confirmed violations to the Animal Welfare Act, yet they are not even fined, whilst activists using their fundamental right of freedom of speech to protest against the grotesque and barbaric actions taking place at HLS go to jail with no proof whatsoever to back up their accusations.

People who make no use of their conscience should not bother answering.

You lost me at "animal activists" - they get my "terrorist" vote.

Addl reply: You asked what people thought yet obviously don't care. Sorry that some of the monkeys that are being taught how to type in labs can't answer your question.

My conscious does not trouble me in regards to testing done on animals - they are bred in labs for that purpose. I suppose that testing on human embryos doesn't cause you a moment of concern? Animals understand that they are either prey or predators and that 'fairness' has nothing to do with life.

I'm an animal lover, but all groups should obey the laws, PETA doesn't.We can vote our conscience and have legal protests and talk to our elected officials.

Using animals to save human lives is FAR from taking human lives in the "false name" of any cause. I had a fiance` who was a veterinarian. She saw nothing wrong with using animals to save human lives. If it is between my kids dying, or some rat.... Bye-bye rats.
