Hahahahh.......I have several girl's at my work who are the same as the girl you are talking about, except their voices are really whiny......I just want to slap those girl's in the face every time they open up their mouths, and they say stupid stuff so it's even worse.....they are all high on their own shitt, and it is the funniest thing to see in the morning when i come into to work.......I get a good laugh out of these girls because they are so fake.
Anyways, i kind of got off on a tangent, but fuuck all those other people that make you mad. What you have to do is come up with a way that make's them annoyed by what you are doing. Good Luck

You have my sympathy. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do to change her. I leave it up to you to decide whether it's worth transferring.
I'm currently stuck in a bad "marriage" with a co-worker. It's been 10 years and neither of us will ever leave.
To relieve stress, I began keeping a journal about him. I was as mean, crude and rude as I wanted to be. Some paragraphs were nothing but the word F*** over and over, if I was having a particularly bad time.
Something like that might work for you, or you may want to try meditation, yoga....some form of stress relief.
It's best not to complain too much to others. They'll eventually get sick of it, and it makes you look bad. A sad but true lesson I've had to learn myself.

start doing stuff to freak her out, like humming really quietly and tell her she's hearing things when she tells you to be quiet. Move her coffee mug when she's not looking, and turn every piece of paper on her desk upside down. I had a colleague who tied my headset, stapler and mouse together with fishing wire and i didn't notce so when I went to use anything I looked liked a ****! Eventually she will get the hint and leave or at least everyone else will think she's crazy too...

If her voice is really irritating and annoying why not suggest to your bosses that they use her when they next do the recorded announcements "Press 1 for this, press 2 for that" etc. They normally succeed in picking very annoying voices for that job.

Maybe she needs to see a doctor about having her tonsils and adenoids removed ...
I don't think you can actually shut her up if her job involves answering the phone ... but if she's a looker and likes to suck c**k I know every guy on here would help you out a little ;-)

Tune her out or find a happy place. Ipods are good too but not if your job involves answering the phone I suppose. Never mind 2 points.

tell your supervisers that she is lovely but you want to be moved and be clear that you will keep it confidential why. If not get some ear muffs and put them over your headset. You have the right to a workplace that is not unnecesarily stressful. You could also cause a bit of damage to your station so that you have to be moved.

maybe she is a test to you..... hear me out. Quite possibly, could it be that you need to change your way of accepting people? She is who she is, and others love her. I don't mean to sound critical to you, but you sound as if you are self-centered, but you have no right to judge this person's way of talking, especially, since this is the way she was created. Does everyone love everything about you? There are people out there that think the same about you, you grate their nerves, and they dislike you.
Accept people as they are, and you will have more peace of mind. This person may have many wonderful qualities which you will never see, because you don't want to, because it is all about you.

Move away from her. You dont want to hurt her feelings. Sit elsehwere, talk it over with a manager or something and im sure they can accomodate u but u have to be carefull of how u approach the situation. it may even become escalated if not handleed carefully.
