To me it is Shane warne and Muralidharan. They are the only bowlers who can take wickets on any surface and in any country. Their performance is the key in their respective country's performance.

The best bowler of the world as of today is M. Muralitharan of Sri Lanka. Though S.K. Warne is the highest wicketet taker in the world of cricket, he has played more games to take that much wickets. Analysis of the number of matches played, number of wickets taken and average will definitely goes in the favour of
Mr. Muralitharan

i always have my reservations on such questions....first of all it is a bit tooooo general question.........when u say "IS" , u mean 2 rfer to the current bowleers and we gt answers like wasim akram n denis lillie!! so better use current or all time instead of " IS"!! one more point is that one needs 2 see test and ODIs as 2 separate forms of the game and therefore the best s r different...v cant say that murali is the best in O
tests as well as in ODIs.....therefore test or ODI need 2 b mentioned as well......and finally....it must b categorized into spinner and non spinner!!!
well for me...best test fast bowler is Mc grath..all time is denis lillie
best test spinner is murali...all time is murali 2
best ODI pacer is Mcgrath..n all time is wasim
best ODI spinner is vettori ...all time is saqlain

Talking about bowlers, its definitely Wasim Akram with 502 wickets in Tests and 414 in Tests, he is a legend and master of swing bowling. HE is known as "King of Swing". He can swing the ball in any direction. Sometimes he swinged the ball in both direction in one delivery. He is also known as "Toe Crusher" with deadly and accurate yorkers.
