I need a complete list of the coal producing countries for a class project.

Here is a source that lists production by country and quantity, for each year since 1981. The statistics given in another answer here are actually for 2003 or 2004, while the ones here are the most current for 2005:

The actual statistics are:
1. China 37.4% of 2005 world production
2. USA 17.6%
3. India 7.3%
4. Australia 6.3%
5. Russian Federation 5.1%
6. South Africa 4.2%
7. Germany 3.5%
8. Poland 2.7%
9. Indonesia 2.3%
10. Khazakstan 1.5%
