My son is learning to play the electric guitar and wants to collect autographed guitar picks signed by talented/famous guitar players.

I see there aren't any on ebay. How do you get these? Does writing letters to famous guitar players and including blank picks and a sharpie get any response? I'm so clueless about this.

the best spot is to get them at the show - never really seen anyone sign a pick but they all pretty much have thier "Own" personalized picks - they will be alot easier to get. I usually ask the guitar tech or one of the road crew guys, unless you lucky enough to catch one during the show.

You can also find them on Ebay. Another avenue would be write or email the artist - unless it is someone huge - they are pretty cool about stuff like that. I've even got a few via myspace.com as a contact point - just shoot an email and ask - offer to send a SASE, so all they have to do is mail it bakc to you. Good luck, I'm trying to gey about 2 dozen and then frame them up.
