Oxyclean is good at getting most any stain out, but it doesn't work on everything. I recommend going over to www.basin.com and getting a little product called Dr. Spot (http://www.basin.com/web-cart/customer/product.php?productid=16228&cat=257&page=1). It costs $4.95 USD. On a recent trip to Disneyworld, I suffered a severe nosebleed that absolutely soaked a white shirt in blood (I looked like a refugee from the Friday the 13th movie set)! I thought we would have to toss the shirt out, but while in Downtown Disney, we went to the shop called Basin and saw this stuff. We purchased it, took it home, and cleaned the shirt as per the directions.

Even though the blood had been allowed to set, you would never know there had been any stains on the shirt. Since then, we keep a bar of this in the house.

I am an airplane mechanic and I get Oil on everything, believe me.
One of the very best things to try, even on old stains is wash it with can of COKE, regular coke.. Do not use gas, like some one advised that can seriously damage your machine. You can get this stain out. if the coke doesn't work there are these tiny yellow bottle you should be able to find at a drug store or even hardware store call stain devils, they come in different levels for different stains.. good luck luv

Different stains need different removers

Hairspray is good for ink stains
shout is good for food stains

but with oil stains, you need an oil removers and hot water
(oil breaks up with certain soaps and hot water)

my suggestion is regular liquid dishsoap (not for the dishwasher kind, just regular, like Palmolive) dab some on the stain, and let it soak in very, very hot water

I would also suggest dishsoap with Oxyclean. Put the Oxyclean on first, then dishsoap next, let it soak in very hot water over night

you may have to do it a few times, but I got car oil out of my daughter's pink sweats after a few tries

good luck

you can try using some dish washing liquid on it. get the spot a little wet then add a little soap, rub it in, add a little more water, rub a little more, you can use your fingernail to work the soap into the stain. next time don't wash it until you get most of the stain out. since you have washed it you may not get all the stain out. Sorry, the dish soap always works for me to get grease and oil out. But washing it may have set the stain and it may not come out. You can try a dry cleaner they may have something to get the oil out. Good Luck!!

Try putting some Dawn (not just any dishwashing detergent, but extra-strength Dawn) on it and letting it sit for awhile, then washing again. It may takd a couple treatments/washes but I've gotten oil stains out with this before.

Try to massage the stain out with a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol (ISOPROPYL-the kind you use for first aid-can get it anywhere like Wal Mart or the drug store). Just gently-GENTLY- massage out the stain after pouring some rubbing alcohol on it. However, be sure that after you brush it every so often WASH OFF THE TOOTHBRUSH'S BRISTLES. If not you will just be rubbing it in and smearing it. Just keep doing that over and over.

If you haven't already put it in the dryer, let it soak is hot water. Then use a fabric stain spray and wash it. Line dry. If it's been in the dryer, the stain won't come out.

Calm down girl! Get the spot where the stain is wet and pour nappi san on it and dishwashing soap and laundry soap on it. let it soak. rub it in later and add more water. let it dry and wash it again. Can't hurt can it?
