Some applications I work with uses the escape key a lot, and quite a lot of the time F1 gets pressed by mistake and it brings up the help window. Can the F keys be remapped so that F1 doesn't pop the help window up?

No. They are fixed, as per the operating system.

Depends on the version of Windows you are using. If you are using XP go to Start and Control Panel, and then Open the Keyboard icon. Click on the Key Settings tab and you should be able to change the different keys by selecting the key and hitting the Edit function. Copy and paste the information for F1 to another key so that you can still select help from the F keys.

okayy good all i'm going to assert is that i've got a living house windows vista notwithstanding this is a computer. so this is slightly staggering. on an identical time as i logged in there was once an entire bunch of techniques that popped up, notwithstanding this is all i'm going to narrate to. every time i pressed X on the administration Panel that pops up everytime i log in, it asks me "do no longer pop up on an identical time as you log in?" so i press no. i recommend this is staggering ceremony?.. i dunno.
