I've had to put a password on my computer because I have a teenage son and he has gone into bad sites. Unfortunately his iTunes has all been done in my user name. Now, when he uses his own name, with the password on, his iTunes library is empty. Is there any way I can transfer his music libray to his own user name without having to give him full user rights?

Tor-moulton 76: I don't know how to copy the iTunes files. I opened iTunes, went into the library, selected the songs, clicked copy, tried to paste them into where it says my son's documents but its not happening. What am I doing wrong?

Are the songs in the library the 'files' or are files a completely different thing?

His iTunes folder is in your profile. Go into My Computer or Windows Explorer, get the music out of your file, and copy it to the All Users profile or his profile.

Log in under your (administrator/owner) account.

Find and copy the iTunes files.

Back out to the C: drive.

Open the Documents and Settings folder

Open the folder for your son's documents.

Locate the iTunes library folder and paste the music files in.

That should do ya.
