2001 REV TECH,ran,parked,started a few times,let set a month,now will turnover,but will not fire. look where?

Crack drain screw on carb to drain old fuel. New fuel in tank. Check for spark ,either put a spare plug on wire end ground to motor crank and look for spark or The way I do it (if you don't mind a harmless ZAP) .Just hold it and you'll know if your getting spark. Fuel/spark are the only cause it won't fire. Check to see if plugs are fowled or flooded.
