Best: Bought Cisco 4 separate times in 1996 and 1997 at post-split cost basis of between $5.70-$6.45. Sold some in 2000 for a 10x gain. Still have about 3/4 of what I bought... it's still up 200-300%, but what a roller coaster!

Another best: Bought Lennar at split-adjusted 10 in 1995. Have sold off some over time and am still up 350% on my remaining shares.

Worst: Took my Cicso gains in 2000 and bought Sprint PCS. Watched it drop 90% and finally gave up. Doh!

Another worst: Bought Interneuron because of their great new diet drug. Took a bath on that one after a few people developed some pulmonary disease. Don't remember all the details.

the best investment was my house. Went up over 25,000 dollars less than a year after i purchased it. Worst investment was my boat. Not a great investment unless you are going to keep it for 20 years.

The best investment has been real estate, and the worst has been sending $3.99 to a company that promised to send me a tree seedling that would grow to 12 feet high within a year. It didn't. It died, in fact. I want my $3.99 back to pay toward my mortgage pay-off or to get a Spicy Chicken sandwich at Wendy's.

Best investment-house and property and mineral rights
Worst investment-Don't have a major one yet..knock on wood...hmm...minor one would be this set of expensive, new fangled cookbooks I bought with my health in mind.. I have not experimented with a single recipe.
