Funny you should ask! I used to roller skate a lot when I was in junior high. I was really good! A couple of years back, my daughter was invited to a birthday party at the roller rink. At the end of the party, many of the parents got on skates and got out there...so I thought "why not"? BIG MISTAKE! I don't know what happened, but I could NOT stay up!
Man, I fell ALL OVER that rink...my ten year old daughter (and all of the other kids in the place) had so much fun laughing at the old lady (I was only about 33!) on the skates.
When I finally sat down, one of the dad's told me "I think as you get older, you're center of gravity shifts!" It was so funny (well, until I tried to get out of bed the next morning!)

I used to be pretty good at playing jacks with the jack ball. Now I truly stink. But I can still jump a pretty mean jump rope. In fact, me & my little girl jump rope outside every night. Heck, we have the hopscotch on the sidewalk written in sidewalk chalk. Even when shes at school & I am home alone, I look very cautiously up & down the street & hurry up & go threw the entire hopscotch. I can't resist....I know my neighbors think I'm a weirdo. Ask me if I care!!

Nope. The stuff I did well as a kid just kept getting better with age and experience. In fact - there were a lot of things I never did well as a kid that, once I grew up, promised myself I'd learn to do, and I have.

Yep, I was kind of sad about it too, lol. I tried doing the monkey-bars a few months ago w/ my boyfriend's daughter (4 years old) and I couldn't even get across 3 of them. Then the other day we were doing somersaults and I felt like a brittle old woman w/ aches and pains everywhere. I'm only 23! What is going on? lol

I used to be able to lay original Nintendo games with the greatest of ease. But now, in this the age of controllers with 12+ buttons, the good ol' 'A-B' controllers of yore have me stumped.

Yup!! Roller skating. Tore a ligament in my knee! I used to roller skate my butt off, do all the trick, dance and skate backwards. Now, the only thing I can do is fall. So sad.

I use to be quite flexible and able to do flips, handstands, stand on my head, etc. I tried and I looked like an idiot. My arms gave out and I went flat down on my face.
