I feel a little nostalgic in my opinion, and I suppose everyone is.

I lost a fraternity brother this day. What was heartbreaking was getting the letter from his fiancee on 9/13 that they hadn't heard from him since he went to work at the Pentagon on 9/11. They pulled his body out on 9/16.

We still miss Darren.

But I don't miss the naivete, or the way I was caught up in the stupid meaningless moment-to-moment desires for material wealth. I left the corporate life the following Fall and went into academia, trying to make something of a difference.

It is just another day, but no day is meaningless.

Particularly since it was an attack on my country, I feel nostalgic. Today, but not in previous years, I thought about Hiroshima and Nagasaki (Japan) and how 2 enemies are now getting along. Hopefully the world can be at peace sometime in my lifetime.

Mostly another day. But in the five years since the attacks, I've gotten so used to people dying needlessly over religious and political ideology, that being reminded of the horror that happened only reminds me of what other countries have happen all the time.

I feel feelings of anger resurfacing as the minutes of today tick by.

September 11th will never be 'just another day' for Americans from now on.

I feel sad if I remember what happened on this anniversary, but, we must let it go.
We can´t live always remembering something that hurts so much.
POOR MAN THE ONE WHO ORDERED THAT!
HOW WILL HE PAY IT???
BECAUSE WE ALL PAY WHAT WE DID! no matter what!
JUST IMAGINE!
