Try making a paste of baking soda and water. Apply to the stains and let sit for about 20 minutes. Wash as usual. If the stain is still there buy regular "chalk" (which comes in many colors) and apply to stain before wearing. The chalk will not harm the material.

Or... try. as close to the time after taking off the garment sprinke or rub into armpits white vinegar. The acid from the vinegar seems to react in favor of stain/order removal from the garment. You can let it dry and wash at a later time or wash immediately, it doesn't seem to matter which.

If the fabric is washable (which 100% cotton is in cold water), try dabbing the stain with a 3 percent hydrogen peroxide solution, then putting the garment through the washer. Other laundry additive products may work as well... "Shout" ... Try the pre-wash cycle to allow the fabric to soak.

It is almost impossible to do if the shirts have already been washed and dried. However, here are some good suggestions for removing perspiration stains. Good luck with it.

liquid soda crystal spray, i bought some yesterday in supermarket, is cheap, can clean anything from cookers to clothes stains, i bought it for my boyfriend's work-out tops to get the sweat smell out, just spray it on the underarm area and put in washing machine...it is the only thing that has worked so far! well impressed! (how sad is that!)
