If you really followed the nba you would know him. 2006 most improved player man! I hate it when people think they know what they're talking about but don't

Technically, Boris Diaw can't run the point...in 2005-2006, either Nash or Barbosa were running the point, while Diaw was playing one of the other four positions.

There are two other players that I can think of that that can play at least 3 positions:

Shane Battier
Ron Artest
Ben Wallace

Battier has actually played all 5 positions with Memphis, guarding and playing against smaller power forwards down to the point guards. Ron Artest has done the same with Indy. Wallace has played against the big men, and guarded SG's such as Kobe and J Rich.

Being versatile doesn't mean the ability to play every position in the NBA. i t means being able to do what is asked/or is needed to be done by the coach. I follow the NBA and i don't even know what team he plays for so even if he is versatile he isn't making a huge impact and if he is big enough to play center there is no way he should ever run the point. Probably the most effective players at more then one position in the game now we be the three from the same draft thats D-Wade Carmello and Lebron they can all run the point play the 2 man and the 3 man and they are amazing at them all.

he is a versatile player but i don't think he's the most versatile. his ball handling is not good enough yet to play the point consistently. the main reason he played so many different positions was because of injuries to amare stoudemire and kurt thomas. if they had played, he wouldn't play the 4 or 5 position. he is a natural 3 in my opinion that can play the 4 or 2 on occasion. the suns style also lets him play those different positions and if he was on a more half court oriented team, he would not be playing the 5. i think lebron james is more versatile as he can legitimately play the 1,2 or 3 positions.

Right now, I think KG is the most versatile player, who can actually play all 5 positions, and he does bring the ball up at times. Lebron would be a close second, although putting him in the center position probably won't be a great strategy.

No I still believe the Kevin Garnett and Lebron are the two most versatile player in the league, they just do it all.
