You should lie on a flat surface...on a bed i couldn't feel mine, but lay on the floor...you'll be amazed at the difference. 13 weeks pregnant normally equals to be 13 cm from your pelvic bone to the top of uterus. So it shouldn't be too large yet anywho.
Don't sweat it. you'll feel it all soon enough.
how exciting! congrats! and good luck ~!

to me it just felt like a mass growing inside you...it's hard to explain, you'll know it when u feel it.
lay on a hard surface...lemme know how u make out :)

In both of my pregnancies I would lay on my back (sometimes I would do it standing up). I would start down low at my pubic bone pressing the bone with my finger tips and work my way up a half inch at a time. Eventually you will feel that the very hard pubic bone turns into a hard area that is not quite as hard as bone (the uterus). Then as you continue to move upwards the fairly hard area will turn into a noticeably squishy area. That is when you have passed the top of the uterus. It took me several tries in the beginning to be certain that I had passed the pubic bone and was feeling uterus because it is also dense and hard...just not quite as hard as the bone. This is really handy for trying to figure out if you are feeling gas/digestion or your baby move.
I hope this helps.

at 13 weeks your uterus will still be very small. I am 21 weeks and mine just now comes up to my belly button and i am just really beginning to feel the baby. Right now I would guess your uterus is still the size of a grapefruit maybe. Give it some time you will feel it all you want to in a few weeks i promise.

Your uterus is still very small for you to feel it easily. Your baby is about 2 inches, so just give it time, and time really goes by fast when you are pg, I was just thinking when I was 13 weeks and now I'm 21, and I can feel my uterus now. Dont rush things and keep enjoying every minute of it.
Congrats

Give yourself another couple of months. Trust me, by the 7th month you will be wishing you couldn't see it or feel it anymore. The baby is only 1" long. Give him/her time to grow. You won't feel anything till late in the 4th or in the 5th month. Then you'll feel what feels like a butterfly flittering around in your belly. You won't feel your uterus at 13 weeks.

I was told by my midwife during my last pregnancy that you'll have the best chance to feel your uterus externally if you lay say on your bed on your stomach with your hand beneath you. Unless of course this is uncomfortable for you. I could do this comfortably for nearly 6 months of that pregnancy.

it is hard to know or feel your uterus.. if your intrested in being able to feel it then next time you have a dr appointment ask him/her to show you where it is so you can feel it and know what it feels like so when ever you want to check it out then you will be able to find it easier. I had the same problem... it is kind of hard to distinct what or where it is because there is many other organs in the body ... you may get them mixed up. Good luck!

Your uterus is still small. The farther along you get, the more noticable it will be. Give it some time. When you go for your check ups, pay attention to where the doctor is pushing at. Ask him/her to show you what to look for.

your uterus will be had to feel at this point expecally if you have more meat in that area... it should be level to your hip bones by now and close to your belly button by the time your 20 weeks..just dont try too hard looking for it...if the doctors are not worried about it then your fine
