.org and .info names are cheaper because they aren't as effective as .com names--think about it, when you don't know someone's domain name, you just put business.com into the browser and 9 times out of 10 you will be right. But when people use all those "other" ones, like even .net, it makes it harder to guess what someone's domain is. Using .com is just more efficient and effective than all the other cheaper ones, so it's the best investment for your money, even if the others are cheaper.
.org names are usually used for non-profits and other non-business type sites, also.

Domain hosting is just that; the company you purchase your domain name from actually "hosts" your website and you pay them so much a month for that. BUT, you can buy your domain name from one place and your webspace from another, so then you FORWARD your domain name to the webspace. Like, for instance, if I bought www.iloveyou.com. Then I set up a space at www.freewebspace.com/joeschmoewebsite/weuouse/wliouour.com.....I can forward the domain name so someone can just type in www.iloveyou.com and it will connect to www.freewebspace.com/joeschmoewebsite/weuouse/wliouour.com...

With Domain Name Hosting, you pay for someone to provide space for you to upload your webpages. With Domain Name Forwarding, you are paying only for the Domain Name while you host your pages elsewhere, and anyone browsing to the domain name gets forwarded to the place your site is hosted. The latter is cheaper; for example, if your ISP provides free web space but you want a custom domain name, you can buy the domain name and have traffic forwarded.

.com domain names are more expensive because that's the established suffix used by most commercial enterprises. If it's important for your site to have the most professional-looking URL, you might want to pay extra for the .com. .org is for non-profits, and some of the alternate suffixes have varying reputations. Some are even blocked by some ISPs because they are havens for spammers.

i think of Godaddy is a superb business enterprise, i've got been with them for years. i've got faith people who dislike them are basically undesirable at dealing with their debts. in case you do no longer pay on your area while it rather is up for renewal, who's fault is that? no longer theirs. i comprehend they deliver plenty e mail reminders letting you comprehend of expiring products. they're between the main important internet hosting businesses for a reason. Plus, each time I call in for help i'm getting magnificent client provider. I called this morning and the undesirable female I spoke with had a 5AM shift! She did no longer say she did, yet she stated she's placed in Arizona... Arizona's 3 hours at the back of the place I stay. She replaced into extremely friendly to talk with. they frequently are.

Hosting, you intend to put up a web site that you host on your server. You point the domain to a 2 servers such as
N24.mysite.com
N25.mysite.com

Forwarding a domain, you have yoursite.com & have it go to my site if you wish? :) Any site. It forwards to the url you specify.
