I think its ok that they made the movie, I haven't seen it, but have heard that it was tastefully done.
For me, my father is a NYC firefighter and I just couldn't bear to relive the day again. I know that i would have bawled thru the whole movie. My mom and brother saw it and they said yes it was sad, but it was good. It showed love, courage, loyalty and family. I would like to see it one day, but for me it is just too soon.
I had also heard that the some of the profits from the movie are being donated.

I have actually seen this film and it's very moving. I feel films like this one, Schindlers List, etc are vital so that we don't forget the horrors that has happened in our world and the people affected. It is also a good way to tell future generations. Hopefully our children will live in a world where we no longer do horrible things to each other.

The movie was great. I highly recommend it. It's about two cops who did survive it. So many people could have turned away and fled...but they didn't. They went in to save people and ultimately sacrificed their own lives to help. I don't think it's tasteless at all. It's more of a tribute to the brave men and women who died helping others.

It was ok-3 out of5 star. It was not as good as the trailers made it out to be. It was from a different point of view and I really felt so bad for the families of these officers. I remember the day and how shocked I was that they had not rescued more people-it was beyond my comprehension that so many innocent people perished.

i havent seen the movie but i am going to!
but i am going to watch it at home not at the cinema!
i was at the cinema when the trailer come on and everything went deadly quiet and there was an atmosphere in the cinema!
i was nearly in tears with a lump in my throat just from the trailor!
i think it is because we all know what happened and saw it on the news and the film is so real to the truth that it brings it home to us!

perhaps it is a way for people to come to terms with the trauma of that dreadful day - however i do think it kind of goulish to make a film about people dying in such an horrific manner.
I think they ave included accounts from those who were lucky enough to get out in time- could be interesting.

there are films all the time about people dying - who gives a crap about a couple of buildings in america falling down anyway - they should have built them properly in the first place.
