Youth villas or hostels are a great thing to look into. You can also do a barter and trade when you travel; offer to work somewhere for a few days in exchange for room and board. You will need some amount of money for tolls and food in areas where you can't find temporary work. Try looking online for places that encourage bartering; make sure that everyone is in agreement before you start working. You can also look into educational grants that will allow you to travel for free if you are in college or between terms. This is mostly for art and history students but others can apply.

you can't, in most countries you will need a visa which cost money, and you will need to prove that you can support yourself for the duration of the visa and that you have a plane ticket or other means to get out...you may want to work but in most countries you cannot do this LEGALLY as a visitor or tourist...you can travel for cheap if you can meet these conditions, but that's another question...

Try to get a job. That way you can work your way around the world. I am living and working in Japan and I love it.

They won't even let you into a lot of countries unless you can prove that you have the means to support yourself. Try earning money BEFORE you leave. You'll need proof it exists to get anywhere.

You travel hungry. You sleep on park benches. Leave the credit card at home, take cash.

Try staying in youth hostels. They are really cheap and usually decent.
