You need to study. Everyone knows that. But what do they mean by "study?"
first, you have to read everything the teacher says to read. And you should try to read ahead a little in your books. Then when the teacher talks about stuff in class, you will already have heard about it and be able to understand her better.
Second, you need a place to study. It should be quiet and have no distractions - like no computer games, Instant messaging, or windows to look out.
third, you have to study every single day, including saturdays and sundays. And on vacations, you should be reading for fun. Absolutely reading, reading, reading everyday for half an hour or more.
Fourth- get rid of the TV. Don't watch any shows that aren't like PBS or Nova or Discovery channel. (Except, OK, maybe South Park and the Simpsons! hahahah)
Fifth -go for extra help - when you dont get it, go see the teacher
Sixth - find the smartest kids in your class and hang out with them and study with them. Never hang out with kids who dont take school seriously. If you have a friend who is not a genius, the two of you can make a deal to work together so you both get better grades. If your friend doesnt want to improve himself, then get a new friend. Are you going to spend your life with a loser?
last, beleive that you can do it. You CAN do it. So go for it!
