Okay here is my theory! After having three children this is how I picture how I was. My hubby and I were equally happy, but my hubby had the energy to show it more. I, on the other hand was exhausted and relieved to come through labor and delivery that I was more layed back and observant. It wasn't until 24 - 48 hours that I would even speak to other people about my newborn. My hubby on the other hand was on the phone not more than 5 minutes after delivery chattering away with family and friends full of excitement!

I think most are equally happy, but possibly for different reasons lol. While a mother is going to normally feel the love and excitement, and want her child, etc - she is equally thrilled to be over and done with the traumatic end of things, and not just the labor and delivery - the last 9 months hasn't been a reall charmer either lol. The father, is thrilled of course to see the baby that he hasn't been able to do much for in the last 9 months, and now he gets to be a more active part of something he helped create.
At least thats what I remember thinking when I was finished giving birth to my son lol. I know my husband was finally excited and was dying to go see our son before anyone else.

I think the mother is happier than the father because the baby has been inside the mother for 9 months and the mother has felt its every move and she can't wait for it to come out.

At the moment the child is born, I think the father is more joyful, while the mother is just more relieved. Take it from me, I've had 4 kids.

Actually Father feels proud and the mother feels contented. So both are happy.

I would say the mother, the father is really happy when he sees his son but happy at the thought of having a piece of himself altogether.

I would say maybe the mother. Both the parents are anticipating the arrival of the baby, but the mom is tired of carrying the baby. I have two girls, and I know that I was SO TIRED of being pregnant! You just cant wait to get that baby out! Some women enjoy carrying babies, but most women find is exhausting! They usually are also impatient about getting started on weight loss as well.

It is the mother, because she is carring the baby for long 9 months in her woumb and she goes through so many kinds of changes in her body .she gets adjusted to all the kind of changes only because she is waiting for the baby to come out.and again the labour pain that she has to go through-- all she bears for the new born baby.obviously she is the person who will be very happy.
