What is the unbiased Truth about 911?

Question

Were these tragic events provoked by US foriegn policies and other international intervention, or was the US only attacked because of "freedom" and religious differences? I only seek the Truth. Moreover, many US leaders want the people to believe that America was just an "innocent by-stander" and the vicious attacks were unprovoked as well. What to believe?

Having listened to the radio, and the unfolding of the disaster on TV, on 9/11 throughout the attack and destruction and subsequent programmes on the same issue, I would like to give my beliefs on the subject as someone from the UK. I believe that the attack was as a result of American policy in the Far East, Palestine and other such Muslim societies. I believe that the attack was, and I say this with the greatest respect, a great success for the attackers and their leaders. I stress I do not, and did not have any sympathy or any agreement with the attacks and deplore them completely. I believe that the US government, Security Services, Air Force and others were caught totally unawares on the day and their reactions were slow, inept and inefficient. I do not believe that the US government or any US officials had any complicity in the attack. I do believe that there was information on a possible attack that was not followed up on. This I believe was caused by the lack of communications between different agencies who guard their information far too closely. I believe that the heroic actions by the Fire Departments, Police and Ambulance personnel was magnificent and deserving of the highest honours. I believe that the deaths of all those on that day were a shame on those who caused the disaster. May the attackers, and their leaders rot in hell........

I think most Americans think it's because of their "freedom" but I disagree....the fact they think that's the reason says a lot about how much they know/ care about their foreign policies and the plight of people anywhere else. I'm lucky enough to live a free life but I am not so self centered that I would think they are just jealous of how wonderful and lucky I am...
all that said I am not playing down what happened I was in the states at the time it was a disgusting thing that took place...and is excusable in no way!!!There were people from all around the world in those buildings and anyone with a ounce of humanity felt the pain of it...regardless of your religion or citizenship.

All Bush would have to do is to order the FBI to release the video tapes they confiscated from the Shereton Inn and the gas station across the street from the Pentagon. Play those tapes and prove that a 757 hit the Pentagon and we'll all shut up. As it is though, the verifiable evidence PROVES that no plane hit the Pentagon as it is PHYSICALLY impossible for a plane to hit a building and only leave a hole and no markings where the 12000 pound engines traveling at over 500 MPH would had to have hit. PLUS, there is not even ONE SCRATCH where the wings would have had to have hit the building, PLUS, there were no identifiable plane parts on the scene.

All any of us can contribute is the truth as we see it. Here's my truth:

The attacks of 9/11 were perpetrated by a group of people who hate the US.

Much of this hatred is based in the US's support of Israel. These people do not believe in the right of the state of Israel to exist, and many have devoted their lives to its destruction. They are incensed that all military efforts to destroy Israel have met with utter failure, and blame the US for its indirect contribution to their humiliation.

Most of these people are religious zealots, who believe strongly that their religion is the only religion there should be in the world. They do not believe in personal choice, they do not believe in freedom of religion, and in many cases they are taught by their religious leaders from childhood that anyone who does not practice their religion should be killed in the name of God. The US, which was founded and continues to exist cherishing the principle of religious freedom and tolerance, infuriates them. They also see Christianity and Judaism, mono-theistic religions with the same roots as their own, as "false" religions, and are instructed by "holy" books and "holy" men to kill people of those faiths, along with non-believers. The Takbir ... the "war cry" of "Allahu Akbar" translates not to "God is Great," as is often quoted, but "(our) God is the Greatest." This may be a subtle point, but shouting "god is great" as you take innocent life is considerably different than "our god is better than your god."

Many of the rank-and-file come from impoverished nations, where the only education available may very well be at the hands of religious zealots. In many cases, religious teachings and zealotry are the only education they have ever known. I'm sure some jealously of the wealth of the US is a motivating factor, but I believe it is only a minor one - and one which would not be readily admitted.

I believe that these people have been directly or indirectly oppressed or repressed by neither the people of the US nor their government. We *have* chosen to support the right of Israel to exist and to defend itself, which it has repeatedly done successfully. This, in these fanatics' eyes, is our crime against them and their religion - which they have sworn to avenge.

How this will end, we will never know. The turmoil which we see today will continue until either the enemies of civilization embrace religious tolerance or the rest of the world is dead or has converted to Islam. I honestly see neither of these things happening in our lifetime.

The official government story is that 911 was orchestrated by Al Queda, which is lead by Osama bin Laden. The proof our government provided was a video with Osama confessing to the crime. The problem with the video is that the person in the video does not look like Osama bin Laden: see picture.

Molten, beyond red hot, "steel" was video recorded coming out of the South Tower just before it collapsed. Jet fuel does not burn hot enough to turn steel to liquid.
