it would only be a problem if you were booting to that hard drive if its only used for storage you can move it over no problem
the only thing you might have to check is the current hard drives jumper in the xp machine its probably set to master but some hard drives have a master w/ slave setting so if it doesnt work right away i would check that. other than that you should be good to go

Sure you can do that as a slave. Don't put that as a primary disc, XP will not load.

Yes you can. You can also make it a master as long as it is not on the same IDE channel as your disk with the OS.
