I saw a white sea lion swim to a rock and climb out of the sea. The rock was about thirty feet in front of me. Two sea otters swam by the same rock and started languidly lounging in the water just below th sea lion. Several different birds joined the scene. A flight of brown pelicans flew past in the near distance. One broke out of formation and landed almost at my feet. At this point I was waiting for a message from the gods on high (or whatever), but nothing was forth comming and it was getting kind of crowded, so I left and got a cheeseburger. The peanut butter pizza we made earlier just haden't hit the spot.

As a child I had chicken pox very badly, and I can remember seeing monkeys' faces on the walls.
3 years ago I had a triple coronary artery bypass, and for a couple of days afterwards, the after-effect of the anaesthetic caused me to keep seeing a wooden-framed sign painted red with words on it, but I couldn't read the words, despite being clearly able to see the sign itself.
The guy opposite me, who had the same surgery, kept seeing an orange ball, like a space-hopper.
A week later when my son came to take me home from hospital, I 'recognised' many of the cars in the street, and was sure I knew who they belonged to... even I realised it was still the anaesthetic 'talking', and my son and I still chuckle about it today.

I remember having a really high fever once when I was a child & I was SO thirsty but couldn't get up to reach the water my mom had left for me - I saw a bunch of people come into the room & look at me. The strongest image I saw was a lady dressed in Victorian clothing - she was so pretty!! but when I asked her for a drink of water, she just shook her head at me & looked at me so sadly . . . that was when I was a little girl of 8 or 9, so that's been a long time now.

When I was about 5 years old, I had a very bad case of the Mumps. during this, I can only describe it (as an adult) as being delirious, I saw the paraffin heater that kept my room warm start to walk toward me. I screamed very loudly.

i wasn't delirious, i was in shamanic trance, but a hummingbird with wings of flame led me through an active volcano to meet Pele the Hawaiian Fire Goddess. it was the most intense physical feeling i ever had, my body went into convulsions from the sheer overpowering energy i felt.

I wasn't delirious: but I saw and felt an angel in my childhood bedroom....I was feeling sad and lonely and hopeless in an alcoholic home....as a preteen...I was praying and God sent a faceless angel to me......I could feel myself walk into arms of love and peace and I could feel a cool silky robe engulf me with its arms......it gave me peace. I will never forget it
