If your wife crawls all over your friend right in front of you, is this mental abuse? If she stays out until 11:00 pm and she gets off work at 5:00 pm, and comes home drinking with a wild story about how she has been at work talking to her boss, is this abuse? If she has all calls made or received on her cell phone erased, and hides what she is doing on the computer from me when i enter the room, is this abuse? If she very seldom ever has sex with me, and makes it seem like she is servicing me when she does, is this abuse? If she puts her job before she does her husband, is this also abuse?

Honey, that's more than abuse that's just plain ####ed up! Your wife sounds like my ex-husband. So take it from someone who knows....DITCH THE LOOSER....
You must be a nice guy to have put up with all of this, there are plenty of women out there who would love and cherish a faithful and honest man. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.

Yes, I would also think it not quite mental abuse (except for "crawling all over your friend"... yuck!), but I think you have grounds enough that she is not honoring her marriage vows; nor completing her family obligations.
I think you need to talk to a lawyer for specific advice about the legal details where you live.

She sounds a fright. Although if she is really putting her JOB before her husband... well, there've been plenty of men who do that, and I don't know if that's a real reason; but if you have evidence she is doing something different instead...

I don't know if any of this is abuse as much as it is very sly. Marriage is about being open and honest with your partner, and being able to include them in everything you do. Even if you don't, that door should always be open. I think your wife may be hiding something from you. Would you believe it if someone told you she were cheating?? I'd be looking into that ASAP. Good luck!

I don't know that I'd call it abuse, but it certainly sounds like you guys don't have a very solid relationship. What's the real purpose of this question -- do you want some complete strangers on the internet to tell you to get a divorce based on one person's perspective of the marriage? For all we know, she's fed up with you and that's why she's going out without you. If you want out, get out.

I guess it could be mental abuse. To me it sounds like your wife is up to no good and you really need to move on with your life. It would be your own stupidity to stay in a marriage like that. Good luck!

I think you should confront her, sounds like she may not be being faithful to you. Mental abuse is defiantly grounds for divorce, you can't stay with someone who doesn't love and respect you the same as you do her.

I don't even think this needs to be defined as "abuse". Sounds more like you should just get the hell out of that relationship without worrying about what to call it. She is not treating you right, bottom line, and that is not OK.
