I love his music! Sean Paul came to South Africa a few months back on tour with Snoop & someone other artists. Anyway, because snoop got arrested at Heathrow in London for throwing bottles aroung & causing a menace to the airport a day before the concert, Sean Paul had to Extend his performance to like 2 hour instead of 1. That was when I realised how talented he really is as an artist.
What about snoop? Well he eventually was released from the cops in London but he is now banned from using British Airways & I think Heathrow Airport also. He held a seperate concert on another night where we didnt have to pay again & that was cool.

Which Sean Paul? You got the Youngbloodz' Sean Paul and reggae Sean de Paul. Either way, I say it's because their braids are sexy on both. But Sean de Paul can dance, sing and rap. He is sexy on screen and off. So the negative aspect of the question I don't even think about.

Preference is an individual thing - some people like Sean Paul, others don't. You could ask the same thing about any performer.
If someone likes Sean Paul it's because they like his music, his style, they fancy him or whatever but it doesn't mean others also have to like him.

I don't like him because I didn't care for his music in the 80s, either. You know, back when his name was Snow and he had a top 40 hit with "Informer."

I personally don't like him b/c all his stuff sounds the same, and I don't particularly like his sound in the first place.
And while it's very catchy it's also even more overplayed.

because he doesn't write song he writes a verse and then repeats it multiple times... and because his music is too often mistaken for real reggae
