It is a talent. There are many celebrity impersonators who are successful, but just like acting and singing, it's a competitive market. Many very talented people are passed over while some less talented people who have more drive and ambition soar to the top.

Well in South AFrica we've got a man who dresses up like a lady. Hes ulter ego is known as Evita Bezuidenhout...he doesnt sing or dance- hes a stand up comedy actor. So wen hes Evita, hes this real aunty with a lot of opinions about our government and everyday things...its really funny.
If you friend does it well and has a twist to it, he could make it far. Everyone knows Pieter (the guy who plays Evita) isnt gay, they understand its an act... but they all relate to it and find it hilarious.
My suggestion: Make your act truly yours... original....

It IS a talent, but as far as if it will get him anywhere in Hollywood or elsewhere is up to the audience. You need a lot of skills to make it in Hollywood, and a phenomenal degree of luck and perserverance. You might have to go to hundreds of auditions before you get even one, if you get any.

Sure it is a talent but not for Hollywood. He/she can be the star of a big city drag club and pull in some serious cash.

It could be talent but you also have to think about who he is showing himself to, because if he gets in fron of the wrong people they will rip him apart and e fails then he just has to look for the right people to discover him and if he can get in big and enough of the right people like him then no one will care
