I thought I did once I got one. I wouldn't go anywhere without it. Now I no longer have one and I manage just fine. I don't feel it is a necessity. I feel it is safer to have one but not a necessity.

No. A cell phone is not a necessity. Food, water and love (nurturing) are the only necessities. I often wish we could go back to the days when we wrote letters by hand and news came via conversations with neighbors over coffee or across the fence post. Very sad.

I think if you are someone real important that just can not get away from your job they are a necessity. For little folks like me no.

yes!! i can't live without my cell phone...i love playing games, putting themes and programs, and i adore sending msgs :p most importantly, i really need when i'm stuck in the middle of the street and my car's not moving :s it's very necessary to be able to call any1 u ned right away instead of waiting till ur back home or looking for a nearby phone where evry1 can hear wat ur saying

They aren't a necessity, but it has really come in handy in an emergency!

No, they're actually very easy to live without. The only time my BF and I use ours is to keep in touch with my kids if they're having a lot of activites.
