In my experience shower curtains are best. They are easy to wash and don't go mouldy if you leave them extended to dry for a few hours. It is also good if the bathroom is aired properly with a window open when possible but that applies equally to screens and curtains.
I've just taken a screen away and replaced it with a curtain as the screen leaked all over the floor. Easy to clean though.

I have always preferred shower curtains, because the water can splash around the edge of a shower screen and wet the floor. However, shower screens do look nicer! It's a tough one, but I would go for the shower curtain!

As a cleaner i would deffinately say a shower screen!! Curtains get mouldy and rip very easily. If you do get a screen, don't opt for shower screen spray cleaner, use a little washing up liquid on wet cloth (works a treat) But make sure you dry it off with a towel after!

I read somewhere that they found more dangerous germs on the shower curtain than anywhere else in the house.
You can keep a shower screen clean, so go for that.
I have concertina type which folds back in 6 section ,gets it out of the way when don't need it.

shower curtains do get yucky, however a glass screen does too if you dont keep it washed good. But I would still say a screen over a curtain...they look much nicer

We are considering a screen, cos we are fed up with the mouldy curtain, that wraps itself around us when we shower.
I just don't know if I will like having a bath with a screen closing me in.

I prefer a curtain.I bought one from Bed Bath & Beyond.I t is a mildew resistant, heavy gage plastic that I have had for years.I only prefer the curtains for a couple of factors,No tiny crevases that collect lime and mold,No BOOM! if I shut the door too hard and I'm 6'0' and my elbows band the doors handles or glass sometimes when I bathe in a shower with GLASS doors.

Screen - every time! Curtains go mouldy and yakky and they have a horrid habit of wrapping themselves around you and sticking to you! Uggh!
A screen is far more effective at keeping the water in too - curtains like to play the "lets see how much water I can let out over the side of the bath before she notices" game!
