In my fantasy league I'm tied with my opponent. I have a handcuff on both TJ Ducket and Clinton Portis. Ladell Betts is the Redskins starter, but Portis is supposed to play back up and Ducket should be the 3rd down back (I believe).

I ONLY need 1 point to win, who should I start tonight???

Unfortunately, I had Betts in my possession until Ducket signed on with the Skins. I had drafted Portis from the beginning, several weeks before his injury, and wanted a handcuff on the team. Now that Duckett got on board, I released Betts and put Duckett on my team. I need one of either Portis or Ducket to do one of two things:

Score (anything including a 2-point conversion)
Or
Gain at least 50 yards rushing OR recieving.

In this case I would start Portis. He should get enough playing time to get you the point that you need.

Wow, what a situation...

Despite the upgrade, I don't think Portis will play much. I think Betts and Duckett will handle the load. Gibbs is not stupid, and is usually pretty conservative with injured players.

Go with Duckett. He's a tub of goo, but he should see 5 carries, possibly more and goal-line work, if any. Hoepfully you only need 10 or 15 yards...

Watch the last minute updates, and go with your gut. If Portis starts for some reason, you almost have to go with him, unless for some dumb reason Betts is available.

Good luck!

I would start Duckett, there is a better than good chance he'll come in and score on a goalline posession. There's no guarantee Portis will play, and if the Redskins are leading most of the game, they'll probably sit Portis just to avoid any possibility of injury.

I'd start Betts if you have him. If not, go with Duckett. Portis is listed as a backup, but if WAS comes out and goes up 14-0 right away, Portis won't see any action. (He may not anyway).

Duckett. He'll likely get the goal line carries, maybe get you a TD.
