What dance style? Ballroom, Jazz, Tap, Ballet?
DO NOT GO TO E-BAY. unless you know exactly the brand and size you want, don't make that mistake. Unless, of course, you don't mind throwing money away.
Check if there are local dance stores near you. That would be the best. Somebody in the store hopefully will be able to explain you the fittings and difference between brands.
If there is no local stores in your area choose a website with GOOD return policy - you will go through returning a pair or two if you don't know what you're buying.
Here are the sites that I bought stuff from and was able to return without a problem: However, make sure you don't wear the shoes if you think you might need to return them. They need to be in absolutely new condition.

Don't shop online. No way. Its very important to get them in person especially ballet shoes, but even if they are not you have to make sure they fit absolutely right. Go to a local dance store specifically with your needs and kind of dance so they know a lot about that topic.
PS. I always shopped at Capezio stores. If you don't have this store or insist on going online, then just go to the website.

The faucets is merely no longer welcome on the floor of the dance studio. the positioned on and tear on the timber would be a difficulty. Jazz is a presentational dance, like ballet, choreographed and finished with an purpose audience in recommendations. The others are extra social, it extremely is, they are danced for the dancers. Line dance is the latest new launch of the set dances, wherein all dancers are doing the comparable steps on the comparable time. Ballroom is split into widely used and Latin divisions contained in the worldwide nomenclature, tender and rhythm contained in the yankee lexicon, yet there is a few slop contained in the designations. widely used/tender dances are those like waltz, foxtrot and tango. Latin/rhythm dances are those like rumba and cha cha. In the two case, the varieties danced, however they are interior the framework of the actual dance, are chosen via the chief on a similar time as dancing, different than whilst choreographed for a prepare or specific condition.

you can go to eBay, The Leotard (if you have one), payless shoe store (that's where I used to get mine), or you can go to discount dance.com. discountdance.com is actually named discount dance supply. It has flats, pointe, leotards, and other shoes and accessories. Hope this helps!

i just wanted to say.... dont go to payless unless you cant really afford anything better. the shoes (in my opinion) are horrible! fake, unflexible, fall apart, cheep, just totally made bad. go to www.capeziodance.com and search for a store near you
