Our School Is Currently Breaking The Law, And as an overweight Teenager, who is trying to loose weight, I find it incredibly hard to do this during school time when there are things like Greasy-Garlic bread, Lasagne, Cheese, Chocoloate Covered biscuits, Pizza Slices, Curries Once every Week, Sugary Fruit Drinks, Icing Buns and Spaghetti Hoops!!! There are Salads on Offer but there are never any there when i want one, and when there is, Theres always a horrible ham and egg salad or something disgusting like that!! I am thinking of seeing our new head-master about the school investing in a salad bar and Water Dispensers.

I'm on "free school meals" and HAVE to have school meals, but today i had to get my mum to bring me a sandwhich because there was nothing healthy!! i don't eat crisps or chocolate or fizzy drinks at home or at school, i eat pistachio nuts and alpen bars instead, they taste just as damn good!

My sisters school has brought in the new healthy eating policy.

There is only chips on the menu once a week, and all the rest of time there is a choice of 2 or 3 healthy meals. There are no cakes and sugary drinks either, its fruit juice or water, and fruit. Sometimes if they are lucky, there is a small piece of cake on offer for their afters.

But I have to be honest, from what I can gather, alot of children arent even having their school dinners because of it. They are taking there money and walking up the bakery at lunchtime to get a bag of chips.

deffinately take this matter up with your head master. in the mean time (and I know you probabely won't do it, its not really the "cool" thing) why not ry packing a lunch for yourself instead. a lunchmeat sandwhich with pile of luttuce and tomatoe, yohgurt, piece of fruit, crackers (instead of crsips) and a small handfull of nuts.
It is the little steps that make up the whole journey

Nope. You can get cans of pop, pizza, and a not-so-healthy snack. It's the cafeteria of wonders!
