Yes. I would kill as many people as it took to save my husband. As for strangers on the street, it would depend on the circumstances. As for how far would I go to survive...I'm not really sure you want to know my answer to this, but I would do whatever was necessary. I'll skip the details.

In other words, does there exist a 'greater good'? I think it is difficult to weight the value of one life over another or over another two or over another million, without knowing the context. So for example, if I had a time machine and could travel to Germany before Hitler came to power, would killing Hitler then be justified? I am a man of peace, and I deeply respect all human life. So I would not hesitate to kill the son of a *****, and justify it as the greater good.

I don't think that I could kill another person even if it was to save many others... unless of course it was to save my kids and then I think I would be able to do whatever was needed to keep them safe.

Allow me to take this question to a higher level.
Would you kill a child, infant or toddler, if it meant saving a thousand lives?
What if you knew the child and its parents?
And before you start ragging on me, it's just a stupid question, I already know this.
Kind of like the original one... yes?

It all depends on the circumstances. In the case of someone activly threatening others (e.g. hostage situation, terrorist attack,..) I don't think I would have to think for a second. However if the person were innocent(like a child carrying a contageous disease) I don't think I could do that

1, I could justify killing to save one person. I would be verry willing to give my own life (Killing myself if need be) to save even one other person.
