There is no answer to this question. With computers we can now calculate pi out to a long long long number.

The last DIGIT in the value of the Ratio:

Pi = Circumference/Diameter

In precision manufacturing engineering the calculations were performed by using 7 Figure Log Tables. (Before calculators and PCs)

The value used for Pi was 3.141593 and that was of sufficient accuracy. The last DIGIT is rounded up.

Precision measurements were made in air conditioned rooms held at a constant temperature of 20 degrees Celsius or, 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

The National Physical Laboratory was the repository of all absolute standards for measurement whether they were the originals or copies related to Imperial and Metric systems.

It is pi.

If you ask "what is the last number of 1,2,3?" It is 3.
If you ask "what is the last number of 123?" It is 123.

So, since you asked "what is the last number of pi?" It is pi.

Do you mean the last digit of pi? The last digit doesn't exist.

As many people have already said, there is no last number of Pi.

If you are asking 'What is the last decimal digit of π in base 10?', then I would have to introduce you to the notion of infinity. π is an irrational number, its digits go on for ever without periodicity, therefore there can be no 'last' digit of π.

If you were to take a number system using π as a base, then you would be in the territory of nice round numbers though!

Pi is not a number, it is a ratio, and can only be approximated as a number. So there is no such thing as the last number in pi.

There simply is no last number of Pi - mathematics has proven that the digits go on ifiniately.

omg how many eejits are there out there?? 'its 22/7 so the last digit must be blah blah blah'

22/7 is an approximation. it is not pi.

as many have already stated correctly... pi is an irrational number with no ending... therefore no last digit...

Pi is an irrational number, and has no computable last number..It goes on infintely..
