It's a mix of the frequencies of light across the visible spectrum.

A prism, when interrupting white light, can separate and reveal the various wavelengths, because the blue/indigo light, having more energy, is bent at a more shallow angle than the red light, which has less energy and is therefore deflected more by the prism. The other frequencies fall between those extremes of the visible spectrum, and so go between them on the rainbow of colors that are produced.
