no, breastfeeding does not cause the breasts to sag. many women make this mistake because the do not wear a bra often enough while they are nursing, so the heaviness of full breasts cause the tendons that hold them up to stretch. a good supportive bra will help, also wear the bra at night until you are back down to your normal size

It isn't the breast feeding that causes the breast to sag, it is the fact they stretch so much when you are pregnant, A good bra, is the best answer.

My experience was that breast feeding didn't make my breasts sag at all... In fact, I had a lot of bumpy milk glands (all my adult life) in my breasts prior to nursing.... nothing major...but were noticable in a breast exam. But after I nursed, they went away....and now they are still perky, yet they aren't as stiff as they once were and when I get swollen around that time of month, it's not as painful. But I'm a A+ (as opposed to a B-)......so that was just me! =) Don't worry about your size or your shape..... you are doing good for your baby. Call them medals, if you must!!! Medals of Motherhood!!! Just get a boob lift later if you aren't feeling sexy! That's the least your husband can do as a token of his appreciation for bearing his child!!!

Hi. I have breast fed four babies and my breasts look exactly the same as my sister's who did not breast feed her three children. Pregnancy alone loosens the skin causing a bit of sag.

Unfortunately, yes. Even tho all the nurses will tell you otherwise, the expansion of the breasts and the eventual return to your normal cup size will put a strain on the muscles in your chest. Good news is, nursing is wonderful for your baby, even if for a few months. I nursed my 3 children and was in bad shape after losing my baby weight, but I went to a Plastic Surgeon for a breast augmentation and have been very happy since.
Find a great plastic surgeon in your area and have the work done, it's so worth it for your self esteem as a woman and a Mom. Good luck!

My wife breast fed all 3 of our children. That was over 20 years ago and she is still in great shape. She has always exercised and eaten healthy. NO stretch marks either. Yes, I'm spoiled LOL.

Not that I am aware of...
Unless you have a damn good reason not to do so, I would urge you to breastfeed. Considering all the benefits it offers your newborn, and the fact that it is a free, natural food source you might as well make the most of it.
