try to go the library and search for a book under the title "Ars Goetia", its a book concern about demons though satan maybe a devil most of the seal might work on the devil as long as it have some similar characteristic with the demon. where it will show more powerful and faster effect that cross and holy water but its also dangerous to those who might uses the wrong seal against the wrong devil.
personal advice; get an exorcist for him but make you have everything ready, and that its for real as its not any practical joke your friend try to throw you into.

Sprinkle some Holy Water on his things. Then put a crucifix under his bed and also one hanging in the living room. Doesn't have to be huge... The presence of God WILL be noticed if he's actually posessed.
