I'm talking about the young girls who appear on documentaries saying that all they want in life is a baby because it's easier than working, then take all the benefits they can.

Stop paying benefits to single parents, stop the baby payments and make the young tarts work for a living.

This could easily be achieved, just declare publicly with a huge advertising campaign that in 10 months time all payments to new single mothers will cease. If you give birth to a little brat, you have to pay for it yourself. The amount of tax you pay should go up too. This is to help subsidise all the extra services the council give you, like removing nappies. no more priority on social housing either.

If these young lazy tarts knew that having and raising a baby was a bloody difficult thing to to, and not a bloody meal ticket, they might think twice.

Well now.....when it comes down to those factors, the government can pass a law to be more preventive of such. Unfortunately, in this world and our time, there really isn't much The UK can do, then again I don't really know anything about the UK's law structure. Here in the US, there are several programs to prevent teenage pregnancy. Anybody at anytime can receive free-birthcontrol from a free medical clinic. However teen pregnancy still happens. So.....The way it works here is that if a teenage girl is to become pregnant, depending on her income or parents(whoever she lives with) is above the national poverty level she cannot be eligible for financial medical aid (Medicaid) however if she is at level or below she can qualify but can only use the medicaid in a very limited manner w/ strict guidelines. For example: IF the teen were to abuse her privileges the benefits can be taken away and she will no longer be able to qualify for it in the future. Pregnant Teens in America with living family may or may not be able to receive financial aid either depending on their situation. It all depends on guidelines. There are girls just like that here in America but.....They take a cold hard hit in face when they realize the government won't be taken for granted. I guess if there isn't anything prohibiting those teens actions, you could always start a petition as a concerned citizen and submit it to whichever branch of government need be.

They gave an honest answer ,unfortunately they chose a quickie.unaware of the great responsibility of parenting a new born. Forgive them, they do not yet understand. Do not condemn them for it will set them on the path to self destruction. Teach them with a kind heart and gentleness how to care for their precious gift. They may not be as constant in their affections as we know, loves is a growing process not a killing one.

it's not a perfect solution but restrict child benefit to one pregnancy.. I'd say one child.. but you cant guarantee it wouldn't be twins etc.. but.. if you are unemployed / on benefit you will only be supported for one pregnancy.. if you can afford to support more children.. dont get pregnant.. add to this family planning aid, contraception etc.. it's an option.. but a difficult problem to answer and no mistake

its because of how current governments make it easy for the people to take advantage of welfare programs. if the gov't revoked most of these non needed progrmas there would be less teen pregnancies and less single moms beause they would be married

keep them in school until they are 21-or don't give them child benefit until over 21 or when they are married.
