Within the next 100 years I don't think there will be much of a change to humankind or the technology... other than that there will be a lot more people. In just the 18 years between the time my daughter was born and her birthday this year there has been 1 billion people added to this weeny planet.

Within the next 1000 years there may be a small discovery or three. We might finally get the tech to travel to the planets and colonize... but if the economy keeps the way it is going, we will not be able to do so due to the high cost of living.

some people say over-population, others say nuclear annililation, and others say global warming. i think people are intelligent enough animals, to figure out a plan for survival.with global wraming, over-population, and ansteroids, i think governments will see the warning signs, and have a plan to survive even if it's just a small fraction of people surviving. i think that we'll keep records of our technology so a great disaster won't plummet us into the stone age. and i also believe that in the next 100-1000 years we are going to make many more advancements in technology that will bring us to the next level of human civilization

Technically, it would have over population, but not in many parts. For example, Canada is highly underpopulated and Singapore is ideal. But no one can say for sure what can happen within the next century or 10 centuries!
