Well... 70's wasn't just disco...I remember a lot from both decades!
Most of generation "X" would have been teenagers during the 80's...

The 80's was a decade that brought about the grass roots thinking & idealism of "political correctness" & "all about me". It was also a decade that had fast moving changes in fashion, music, politics, & technology.

The end of "New Wave" music. Rap stuff started making it on the music scene. There was a lot of "Pop" tunes on the radio...as I recall. The decline of Southern Rock.
A lot of "Aid" stuff started airing too...there were relief benefits for a lot of causes back then, with musical and Hollywood personalities participating.
