It certainly would make communications easier if there was a "universal" language but here is where I see the problem - "speaking" a language is not enough because language is often intertwined with culture and therefore there would still be misunderstandings. If I were to say "I was so tired that by two o'clock I "hit a wall." How many ways do you think that would be interpreted by people who speak English but have no point of reference for accepted US colloquialisms or US slang. They'd probably take it literally.

Also, I deal with staff in India who speak English perfectly well but they do inject their own "spin" on it - when asking if one of their teammates can follow up on something, they'll say, "please do the needful." Now, basically I know what they mean, but my point is that even if the world spoke English there would still be the hurdle of slang and cultural interpretations to get over.

While I do think that many of the world's problems are based in communication I think it's not the fact that we don't speak the same language, I think it's the fact that we (people all over the globe) don't try hard enough to understand nor do we have enough respect for other cultures and/or belief systems.

i've got confidence that different languages upload to the ask your self and individuality of a rustic. some languages are waiting to precise thoughts in techniques different languages won't have the ability to. Languages provide jobs to hundreds of folk worldwide extensive and it would be an impressive shame to lose our adjustments. As a society i do no longer think of our problems would substitute if all of us spoke the comparable language, it is not language that reasons poverty, famine, war or something.

We will have more problems cause we'll beging to think of being God Himself. lastime in history we all spoke same language, we built a tower so high cause we had to see God face to face and hence the different Languages.
