is there any technology used in refrigerators to reduce power consumption in any brand now a days?what is that techonology

Yes new technology consist of better cooling controls, thermostats and insulation, i experimented with a Frig fan that runs off of battery you put inside to circulate the air and it helped allot, i found it at a RV parts store, also keeps food fresher and less odors, you should see that implemented soon factory wise.

There are a variety of technologies to improve efficiency of refrigerators, including better insulation, inproved refrigeration and electrical devices that control the phase of the power used by the refrigerator. All these have combined in the last five years to improve refrigerator efficiency by more than 25 percent. A new erfrigerator today is far more efficient than one from 20 years ago.
