English grammar says us that Yes/No question has only one answer: yes Or Not. Why do you give explanations? I think giving explanations has no sense. Do you understand?

SERIOUSLY.......when you ask your yes/no question, are you provoking a longer answer like, "Are Americans rude?...yes or no?" If it is simple enough for a yes/no, OK, but if you are being controversial, you should expect a longer answer. Peace

No...I don not have to elaborate on a yes or no answer when responding to questions on Yahoo Answers. I believe in being short and concise in my replies and hate it when people ramble on and on and on when they answer. You know what I mean? I might sometimes ramble on and on and on but its not very often .......
