You multiply by 9/5 and add 32.
F=(9/5)C+32
C=(F-32)5/9
And every time I see a conversion question I include
this in my answer. Try it.

Fahrenheit formula
F = C(9/5) + 32
F = 39.5(9/5) + 32
F = 39.5 x 9 = 355.5/ 5 = 71.1 + 32 = 103.1°
The Fahrenheit Temperature is 103.1°

I always start with a known reference point and add or subtract in a 10:18 ratio and/or 1:1.8
If 0C=32F, then 10C=50F, 20C=68F
A lot easier for me.
The initial starting point is -40 degrees, which is the same in both scales, since they meet and cross each other at this point.
-40C = -40F
