I don't feel unsafe. I feel more aware of my surroundings.

I'm not afraid of flying in airplanes...been on dozens of flights since 9/11/01.

I have no more or less love for my fellow man. I just understand there are bad people on this planet that want to hurt and destroy us. It's not a new concept, it's been going on for eons. It's just never hit us so close to home before. Terrorism is something you read about in papers, and watch on the evening news.

We just will have to deal with whatever comes to us. The key of course is to band together as a people in this country. There is so much hatred and anger. If anything will be our downfall, it's that we can't come together and do something for the common good.

I did see a glimpse of hope immediately after 9/11/01 when EVERYONE pitched together and became one. Remember when Democrats and Republicans in Congress stood outside the capitol and sang "God Bless America"?

I wish we could do that full-time.

I believe that there will be another attack. I don't know when or who will be behind it, but the world has seen that America has vulnerabilities and I don't think that fact will be soon forgotten.

Do I feel safer? In several ways, yes, I do. In 2001 I lived in a major city. I would not have been able to protect myself or my family. Now? Now I live in a rural area. Now I know that if I need to survive on my wits and my instincts I will be able to do so. Now, if we are cut off from supplies for any reason, I know that I will be able to tend to my family as is necessary.

I feel safer. I don't think it has as much to do with what people have done to make this country safer (although I believe that much has been done) as much as it does with the fact that I know that I am in a better position to take care of myself and my family and, through my own actions, keep us safe.

I really don't feel unsafe BUT I am more cautious. I haven't flown since 9/11. I keep waiting to hear about another attack. I do believe that there will be another attack.

no--i don't feel safer, because i never felt unsafe (concerned) before. anyone who felt that attacks could never happen here where doing wishful thinking to begin with...terrorism is a matter-of-fact the world over; thinking we are immune is ignorant.

I feel that we are more protected. I do expect an attack...... but its awesome to know that their are people worldwide that are doing everything in their power to prevent a loss to any American life.

The greatest hazard to everyone's safety is the American government.

Dick Cheney has admitted on the record there has never been an connection between Iraq and Al-Qaeda. If you are surprised, I would recommend a healthy dose of skepticism.

I always feel safe knowing that I'm in God's hands, and whatever happens, happens. I know He'll be with me to take me through.
