This is a good question, but a complex one. In general, the Democratic party is considered more liberal than the Republican party. That means they are more in favor of social welfare programs, more willing to use the government to attempt to solve economic issues and less likely to use the military to solve foreign policy crises. Having said that, there are certainly numerous examples of Republicans who are more liberal than some Democrats who are more conservative than Rebuplicans. In the past one was conservative (repub) and one was liberal (democrat). Conservatives wanted to keep government smaller, taxes affordable, and protect personal rights. Democrats/liberals like social programs, pushing for things like freebies for homosexuals "marrying", and the government more in peoples' lives.

In the past decade or so I'd say the party lines have blurred. Our current president is a republican and should stand for conservative views, but instead he's really raised taxes, stripped personal rights, and done things that border on being Unconstitutional (eg. Homeland Security, illegal wire taps)

Republicans use religion to direct followers and play on morals and values that of which no one has much of. They try to dumb people down like sheep and are led very easily. They like to give tax breaks but have spent so much that this country is broke, tax the poor feed the rich, crooked, warmongers, nazi tactics. Broken promises. High jacked government. Republicans hate the working class and outsource to show how lowly they think the American worker is. Dismantles the manufacturing base of America to give to the third world of which we have become.

Democrats think they are smart and have a logical answer to everything and tell you it is o.k. to do anything. They like to tax but ended the deficit. Broken promises. Sissies. Always trying to end a war. Champions of the down troddened and poor. Just as crooked as Repbulicans. Immoral. Try to tell you to tax the rich more but don't.

Both are liars, immoral, crooks, a travesty of government. Both are enemies of the working class and worship money and ship jobs overseas.

Slaves to the Supreme Court . Both are Zionists that believe the survival of Israel is more important than the survival of America.
