Yes. My senior year of high school I won for dressing up as Elvira. I had the wig, the make up and the entire costume with the cleavage and high slit. However, after winning I was told my costume was too sexy for high school and had to take it off! Last year I won first place at a club for dressing up as a sexy FBI agent. I had the hat, the costume (very revealing), fishnets and seven inch stripper heels. I was hot!

I made a Renaissance Scottish lass costume one year, and I think I won $20. (It was a cheap prize!)

I give out a prize every year at my Halloween party. Last year, a couple that dressed up as Greek Gods won.

I won $75 for First Place. I went as Mimi Boebeck from the Drew Carry show. I got this old purple flowered dress and stuffed it with a pillow. Did the wild makeup and had a blond wig that I put bright colored barrettes in, wore wild hose and bright hot pink pumps. It was great fun and I stayed on character all day by being rude to my coworkers.

My husband and I won the couple contest a few years ago. We went as The Queen from Snow White and her Magic Mirror. His costume was actually pretty cool. He dressed in all black and we put a box on his shoulders. We attached a plastic mirror frame to the box, painted his face in green glow paint and put glow sticks around the opening on the box.

I made my own Marie Antoinette costume complete with corset and powdered wig. I won $500 at a large costume party. The dress is purple and gold with lace trimmings, and I think my cash award was about how much it cost to make the dress. I wear that dress whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I won as a bad scientist. Wore a lab coat with acme spray painted on the back then used a candle to but burn marks on it. Then I wet my hair and took a towel and frissed my hair all up an hair sprayed it to make it stay. Finally I put on a pair of saftey googles and had my girlfriend throw soot from the fire place in my face. When I took them off it looked like something had exploded in my face. Won $50 for it.

I won going as a queen bee. I bought yellow duct tape and made big broad stripes with it on a pair of black leggings and black t-shirt. Then I made a stinger out of yellow pipe cleaners and sewed it to the bottom of my t-shirt. I wore a tiara that I had put black and yellow twisted pipe cleaners for antennae. I wore white gloves and carried a purse (like Queen Elizabeth always carries) with the words Honey written on it. Oh yeah, I also wore two strands of pearls and and pearl earrings. My husband went as a Killer Bee - with the basic bee costume, but we added knives and guns for him. It was fun!

Yes I went as a cow. I had the costume complete with big pink udders and stuffed it full making the udders kind of hard to ignore. lol I painted my face white with black spots and my nose pink. I didn't even think of winning but I guess I looked so ridiculous that I got first prize.
