These are more than enough ground for seeking and getting a divorce. Get a decent lawyer. Many material things are important in life. So rather than compromising and live in constant tension, one should enjoy the brief life we can spend in joy.

All 3 problems together are more than anyone can hope to deal with. She will lose nothing in seperating the 3 issues and with help trying to resolve them.
Is he impotent because his family harasses or because he does not have a job? Can she get him to find his skill set and go about getting employment, no matter how little it pays. Her encouragement and support will go a long way in boosting his morale---as men mostly rely on their jobs, designations and earning capacity to feel good about self.
She needs to get an earning outlet for herself too. This combined income might give them a base to take a loan and shift into a small room of their own. This will distance any family harassment as it can then be borne in small infrequent doses. Maybe when they see this independence and resolving of issues they will calm down.
After a while his libido might awaken and she might begin to enjoy pleasures that she had no hope of.
All I say is that when you get married, you gotta see and sort all these thing sensibly before tying the knot. If they have developed after marriage then she can have hope that things can revert to better days. She has to give it a try before just giving up and filing for divorce------ and she needs help in this. You sound like a nice concerned sibling so go give her that support.

Well, if your brother in law knew that he was impotent (I don't see why he wouldn't know, but people are people) and he didn't tell your sister about it before the wedding, probably she could get the marriage anulated, I think. I'm not sure on this, but she could talk with a priest about it. Now, if he did told your sister, then she should have known what she was getting into.

If she knew about his impotence, then that shouldn't be an issue, but is he Really looking for work, or 'looking hoping to never find' a job? If he's come into a hard time, and is doing whatever he can to improve their life, maybe your sis could cut him a little slack. If he's lazy, well, really I agree.

Well, this is just my two cents....

i dont see a question here...but it sounds like a good idea for her to divorce him....not because he is impotent but because he dosent work...no man worthy to be called a man lays around like a bum and dosent work...now if he is disabled thats another thing...because the disabled do have a form of income from social security/disability....i say more power to your sister...she should dump the buzzard!
