All managers have their reasons. They gave beckham a lot of leadership and responsibilties. He probably did not live up to their expectations. Remember, he was given the chance.

Beckham was not sacked. He resigned as England captain. I think he knew that McLaren woukd be dropping him from the team and this is why he did it. He will not play for England again. Players international careers have to come to an end sooner or later. They are not sacked, they are simply not picked. Beckham could no longer dictate a game and would "disappear" during games. You cannot afford to carry a player just because he takes free kicks well and can cross a ball. I like Beckham but when you see players like young Lennon you know it was time for Beckham to bow out.

many of us will miss beckham and i do hope that he would be back on the squad.
but since he was left out, england had better midfields and the teamwork between gerrard and lampard is alot better so therefore the chances that becks will come back is very slim.
and for the team as a whole, it was fair to drop out becks.
It was all up to the manager anyways so we can't argue much

I THINK BECKHAM WAS MADE A SCAPEGOAT.
WITH THE LIKES OF GERRARD ,LAMPARD, AND CO, BEING FAILURES IN THE WORLD CUP .
WHY WAS BECKHAM ,THE GUY THAT SINGLE HANDED LY TOOK ON THE GREEKS TO GET ENGLAND TO THE WORLD CUP FINALS , MADE TO PAY FOR A P I S S POOR ENGLISH WORLD CUP.
IF THE TEAM HAD HALF THE PASSION HE HAS THEN WE WOULD BE A LOT BETTER.

His style of play will not suit England. He should go. The way the drifts to the centre everytime makes the central mids confused over where they shld play. Its time for him to hand over the position in the squad.

Definitely. He should have put more of his energies into his football and less into being a fashion model and trying to keep up the appearance of having the perfect marriage.
