The answer is 103.1 Fahrenheit.

1 degree Celsius (also Centigrade) is exactly equal to 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit so you can multiply any temperature in Celsius by 1.8 to work out the equivalent in Fahrenheit. But... you need to add 32 to allow for the fact that 0 Celsius = 32 Fahrenheit (the freezing point of water)

the eqn is c/5 = (F-32)/9 where C stands for centigrate and F for ferenhite
so, 39.5 celcius= 39.5*9/5+32=90.5F

you can solve this type of question if you know the formula

C/5=(F-32)/9

substitute C=39.5 in the formula, you will get the answer

that is F=103.1

Times degrees C by 9, then divide this by 5 and add 32 to the result (which is 103.1).
